Why do we need a Comprehensive Plan?
The Comprehensive Plan is about looking ahead with intention. It gives the community a chance to talk about what matters most and create a shared vision for Centerburg’s future before important decisions need to be made.
By thinking ahead about housing, roads, water and sewer services, parks, local businesses, and community amenities, the Village can make thoughtful, well-informed decisions that reflect local values and priorities. Planning today helps protect the qualities that make Centerburg special while creating opportunities for future generations to live, work, and thrive in the community they call home.
The process to build our Comprehensive Plan :
1
Project Initiation
Kick off the project, establish goals, and gather initial information.
2
Existing Conditions & Analysis
Review current data and conditions to identify opportunities and challenges.
3
Draft Comprehensive Plan
Develop the plan, framework, vision, and recommendations.
4
Community Review
Share the draft plan and gather feedback from residents and stakeholders.
5
Final Plan & Council Adoption
Finalize the plan and present it to council for adoption.

Get Involved
This is your community, and this plan is being built with you, not just for you. Community input is one of the most important parts of the project.
There will be many ways to share your ideas along the way, including surveys, public meetings, and chances to review the draft plan. Your feedback will help shape the future of Centerburg.
